Shepherds Pie Savory

 Using 2 cans Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls, roll out  and stretch 2 triangles and pinch the perforated edge closed.

Cut into 4 squares. Place in greased muffin pans.

 Fill with Shepherds pie mix.

 

 Top with prepared Idaho mashed potatoes. Bake for 12 min. @ 350 deg.

After removing from oven, top each pastry       with grated cheddar cheese and seasoning.  Makes 2 Dozen.

Suave Root Boost Review

Suave Professionals Hairspray, Non-aerosol, Volumizing, Root Boost, 6-Ounce (Pack of 4)

I have fine hair but a lot of it and I always need help with body in my hair. I usually use a salon root boost product, but while shopping at Smith's I found this one and decided to give it a try. After you wash your hair and towel dry it a little, you just spray it on your roots up about 2-3 inches.

Once you spray it on, you dry your hair with a round brush or upside down. I did not see much body after I had dried my hair. I then began to curl my hair with my straightener and once i applied the heat of the straightener to the area where i had sprayed the root booster it began to activate and add volume. It is not as powerful as my salon root booster, however I was really impressed with the out come. For under $5, I would definitely use it again.

Hunger Games Trailer

The Hunger Games trilogy is right up there with my favorite books of all time.  I just read them again recently (or rather, listened to the audio) and am still blown away by what an amazing and powerful story Suzanne Collins has told.  It is heartbreaking and thought-provoking.  I loved the story and absolutely LOVED the characters.  Reading it a second time I really began to appreciate the author's talent for beautiful writing in painting and weaving the story.  I've read many books that I've enjoyed, even loved, but none have come close to this series.  So I about squealed when I found out the movie trailer came out today!  It is AMAZING!  It seriously gave me chills watching it and I am sooooo excited for the movie to come out.  I have high hopes that it lives up to the books.

Birthday Pancakes

To make a birthday breakfast super special, all you need are two simple things: pancake mix and a squeeze bottle (I got mine at Walmart for less than a buck; an empty ketchup bottle works well, too!).

Just mix up the batter (making it as smooth as possible) and pour into the squeeze bottle. Then "draw" batter images onto the pan and there you have it -- a perfectly cute (and easy!) breakfast. For Cailyn's birthday today Daddy made her a cake, some balloons and an "8". She was so excited and it was a great way to start her birthday.
